Blog#6 1000 what?
I think that society wants to see things in a different light. Robert Rich is a believer that is very creative in his thinking. He states he only has 1000 fans that love his music and understand him as an artist. That is kind of weird to understand but once he dissected his reasoning it really makes a whole lot of sense. He once said and I am not quoting just summarizing what I got out of his story is that he just wants to create awareness to people stating that out there in life there are a lot of bumps in the road to get him where he wanted to be but maybe their was a doubt in his mind that he might have took on a bigger task then ever before to become who is today. Risking it all to do what he loves. I can’t be certain but there are bits and pieces in his talk that to me is the red flag of doubt. But at the same time the awareness is forever there in between the lines. It is weird to categorize his life to knowing that from all across the world he only can calculate that he has only 1000 true fans he feels in his heart that they reach out to him the way he wanted them to. But what if he has more friends out there and he just doesn’t know he has and what if they just are all his fans. Does it really matter if their downloading his songs? It simply means they like him. If their not downloading his songs it either means they don’t know he exists or they don’t like him. Does the market flood itself by advertising a perception of what people should buy? Yes we are taught to persuade you that a product is the necessity for everyday life. I think advertisers have some means of making people go a little crazy but how would we get you to buy the product? It takes a lot of time to build a concept that is suitable to the viewers. They have to go through I think 4 or 5, I might still be wrong but that’s how many government regulations they have to go through before they land themselves a million dollar deal. You could have an idea and by the time their done dissecting it your idea is still there but its beat to a pulp and the concept stinks but you have to use it because it just cost time which you don’t have to produce the ad. It seems like this concept can apply with this fan study. You want to make people like you and but at the same time jumping is easier than walking. So what I am trying to say is that once you figure out a concept and you did jump and took that leap you can start to understand your fan base and make it better.
Blog#7 REMIX'in LIFE But are we Being TEASED?
At the end of 2008 America told us that they wont be taking on small lawsuits on remixing songs, anything online, or whatever you can get your hands on. But why say this statement and yet still be Big Brother? It's funny how people don't know what's going on in their own country I mean its big enough for us to not know what we need to know, but at the same time I am guilty of not knowing what future is out there making our life better. As I reflect on that I do humbly say that it would be nice to know a lot about other people and new ideas on making this world a better place. Sounds so cliche but at the same time maybe this step forward will give us the boost we need to fight for our free speech to live the life in peace and frankly just be happy. Also if you think about it we'll be in control if we all speak up. But once we start to rally all the troops there's nothing left for us to do because America took over and pushed us out to sea. They don't want a outbreak and they don't care all they care about is how much money will they make to push us out to sea and how many other laws they can make to get them back on top. Maybe I'm wrong and maybe I sort of have a clue of what happens in this world but who are you to judge me on my opinion. Who are you to know what really goes on in this world. I think having George Bush as our I hate to say this president shows Americas true colors. Take a little time to actually know what is happening in this world and act on it and blog. Blog is the new free speech so take control and write what you feel. People keep things hidden, anything locked away and the key is thrown somewhere only one soul can find. I can't believe what our country has done for us. I mean United we stand but when we fall their not there to catch us. One slip up were in jail for life. So why is this a sea of piratecy? The US is trying to build an economy that basically if you look around can't be built. Enforcing laws is in the past and I do agree that the past is in the past move forward think first and be more aware of your surroundings. The less you know and the more stubborn you are just pushes you back in life. It makes you think in a box and your answers are right but sub consciously thinking while life passes you by you will never grow intellectually and that suxs for you. Life is great when the economy changes the rules? Changing the rules is a new step for the people to have a voice. We want to change the rules. We want to have the freedom of knowing that our country is on our side. More rules for us makes us more free? Its a counter balance just say in the end if we play our cards rights we might win. The challenge to fight is better than not fighting and knowing at all. Grab the bull by the horns! Why have the clue dangling in front of us TEASING US into some false reality of life and what Ifs'. Are we being teased by America? Are we being the lab rats that carry all the diseases and having so many trials of drugs in us still makes us the bad guys? But how do you suppose we make these rules? Well it's up to us to figure that out. Research and lots of it because in the back of our minds we want the power of being more free in our counrty. We want to not have to worry about laws just ask Girl-Talk. Hey Paris likes him so why not? At least she made an empire off of her saying "That's Hot." Girl-Talk is a person in the US that makes his own re-mix's of songs that are being produced in the US lets say underground and the idea of his new developing technique actually originates from Brazil. People from Brazil are making re-mix's in their home towns and bringing them into the club life because the people are to poor to buy their own music. That's not so bad it's a way of passing the time and letting them live life in such harsh surroundings. So we need to understand that people can have that free voice and it's in everyone. Were not stupid and who cares if our country has a fatter outside, Its what's on the inside that counts.

Blog#5 DRM
What do I think about this problem? Having new knowledge will make you more successful, secure in yourself to know that the secret to the this copyright law will be more of a secret and concrete if you find a way to make this product better and solid. The method is to know who will keep the secret safe and the people that create the code will you have to wonder if those people will break the code. That is a lot, a lot of trust between scientists and the corporation. The attacker is also the recipient. People should know.
You don't have to be "Geek" to know what DRM is all about. Yes, it can get you in trouble and yes it is a little easy to figure out how the Digital rights management works. The risk of this product is if you get caught copying from a DVD you can serve time or get a huge fine. You know when you watch a movie and that big blue ugly screen pops up with fine ugly black print written all up and down the screen and it tells you that if you copy this DVD you can get a fine worth up to250,000 dollars or you can got to jail and not pass go to collect your 200 dollars? Well that is DRM. It is copying someone else's idea to please you in your home or yourself personally. You rent a movie and your thinking about copying it you wonder whether it is a good idea or not but then you just forget about it and think you have the right because who will find out or the question is who really gives a flying hoot? Well that is what we all say and why would "they" make a product that can get hacked easily and yet this product is still on the market today and multi-billion dollar companies are buying this still? Are you on Glue!!! You want to know what I think and the reaction that comes to my mind is why bother reading the fine print on that ugly T.V screen who cares people do what they want whenever they want so let people live their lives the way they want to. Getting caught doing this act would be stupid on their part and its like getting pulled over and getting a ticket for having your window down. Everyone does this and everyone does not seem to care. People poor money lots of it into the economy if you say the words FREE and Don't get caught then you have a deal. If their is a will people make a way. If you can download a product that can help you hack this DRM key off the internet then why are people stilling writing about this problem gosh darn it go out and fix the problem! It is "their" fault they made a faulty program but it is not the peoples fault when it comes to copying people's ideas. If it's easy to do then their going to do it that is just what the economy does. Haven't you lived long enough to realize this for yourself? They put this problem in our hands its like bringing you into a candy store and telling you you can't have anything that is just torture. Suffer the consequences boys! Get over yourselves stop worrying about what people are saying make it work and do it productively.
People thinking they can get away with anything they want. They think if they have the money then they have the right to do as they please. That is bull shit! Spoiled little brats who just stomp their feet every time they want something to go their way. Yes thats right I am talking about the problem that has addressed the world with the kindle and the book 1984 and Animal Farm. Amazon took all copies of 1984 and Animal Farm off everyones kindle mind you that was a breech of theircontract. What I don't understand is someone should sue and if you can't then Amazon should at least give out a free book to everyone and let them pick out the one they want no matter how high the price. We "us" the people always get to be the brunt of every joke this time it has to stop. We "us" the people need to work more together thinking of ideas of how this company did you wrong and what you want them to do about your problem. People not only had their books get taken off their kindles but had their work STOLEN from them their personal annotations. How frustrating is this to know that people think they can act like God and become Big Brother. Seriously this world is turning for the worst we just had our market crash what's next is China taking over? I was watching a late night show on I can not remember what T.V show it was but it was late night comedy and a writer was promoting his product and it was a book about the economy and what is happening about our world today. So I was watching trying not to fall asleep of boredom and all I heard was money money money. When I poked my head above the covers and sat up I was noticing that the man that wrote the book was telling us something. What do you call it? Oh yeah I was reading between the lines and figuring out that this man was telling us that if we went out into the market and buy, buy, buy everything we want and more then the market will go up and people will survive in this world. Now, you have to go out to a store buy a lot and "us" the people will make it out of this depression that were in? Wow so simple for you to say right? Your not the one worrying about loosing everything you worked hard for. Now your telling us to buy more pointless products that have no personal value in our lives to make us live better. BULL SHIT! This world is corrupt with to much criptonoight, yes I did I said it and I admit it I do like comics and will quote from. They will reach a solution but of course they will always be to late when they figure out how to save their behinds first.
Blog#4 What is what isn't
You can't change demographics it is impossible. But what you can change is the way people think that is not hard at all. Wherever you live your subject to thousands of messages each day if you see them or not, their there. What's concerning is people can put a message out in the public that can be hurtful or give off the wrong choice even the wrong message but that is what makes the world go around. People are stuck on sales and are driven with this hit-driven mindset that products such as books, CD's, DVD's, and many more are based upon the 80-20 rule. At this time people see that if 80% of people are buying a CD for example and 20% of CD's are slowly selling then the 80% becomes the main focus and the other 20% falls behind and fades into the dust never to be seen again basically taken off their market. Major company's discover that this works out the best for them to obtain a certain area of profit that fits their belts. What they don't realize which is common sense to me is that other major company's such as iTunes, Netflix, and Amazon are the other 20% rule and their doing some what better then the 80% or just as good sale wise. You see their numbers sore because there are so many other products that get used and bought but at a different sales pace but their just as good so why take them away from the market and away from us, the people that like the 20%. I think a couple years ago I was mentioning that Blockbuster is not a very good store because once a hit comes out on DVD it stays on the shelve for a while which that part is good but if you want to find a movie from 10 years back it wont be there. This is because they have become archived and there is less room to put the old movies on the shelves doesn't mean people don't want them it means corporate doesn't want them their because they don't bring home the bacon. People want them, just because they do not sell that much doesn't mean you take away from us what we like. That is not fair for us we are the people that keeps them in business buying from them the middle class buying from you. Blockbusters do not even carry all the same movies the stores pick out the movies that they like and think in their stores which DVD's would be the most interest to their community. How is that fair for us that one person that is an employee can choose what we want to watch in our home town. We have to travel if their isn't something there but also if we travel somewhere else there is a 50% chance that the old movie might not be somewhere else as well. We then have to focus or time and effort on finding that particular DVD online. That could take days sometimes not all depends on the website and where you find it. Netflix seems to be the best movie store out there right now in time because they have over 100,000 DVD's that you can watch. You write them a list of what you want to watch and every time your done watching the movie mail it back and the DVD on your list that is next automatically mails to you. Books also fade away. Do you know how many people write books? I was thinking about writing one my mom is in the middle of writing one. A kid at my work wrote one and posted it on Amazon. I asked him if he sent it to California and he said yes but when he kept calling they didn't get back to him and two weeks after that he used Amazon to publish it. How many people get their books read you think? I don't even know. My Copywriting teacher told me out of 100% of profit from products only 4% of writers become the high demand which means you see only 4% of peoples books in major bestselling company's bookstores for example Boarders or Barns & Noble. This is also a victim of the 80-20 rule I would think.
The market appears to be a little twisted in a way its like the fit for survival. You have to survive one way or another and the whole 80-20 rule seems to be the main factor taking away from products of the entertainment industry. That's the fit trying to find a way to make a profit when other people are jacking up prices which takes away from others. The survival is the major company's being greedy and pushing away the gift of someone wanting their dreams coming true and people wanting was in the past and products that are not in the major lime light. Is there too many people trying to make it big? Or is it that the corporate world wants to make money for themselves and run away. Corporate in the entertianment industry just wants money and whatever way makes them money they will do whatever they have to do to translate that into money. Maybe I am a little off topic but the way I see it is that people just want money and the past is in the past when it comes to buying products in the entertainment industry eras come and go this is a new century and everything that the world has been doing wants to stop and go away because those products are pointless because people are getting smarter with new technology and the demand is there and they are inconsistant with the old. This battle will be won from the corporates because the voices of the economy will get walked all over because we look like the people taking away from their money.
Blog#2 Tim O' Reilly
Tim O' Reilly is out to change the world. Online Distribution is his main concern. He wants to provide publishers a competitive alternative way to help control their content that is being published online. People want convenience and they want it fast and easy to use. In the digital home of 2013 you will be able to access content for free. This is convenience, you will be able to download what you want whenever you want for free. But it will be safe to run on your computer and you wont be contributing to illegal software only safe programs. Hulu is a working site that already is in use for on demand. This site lets you download movies for free and watch them but you download them at a safe risk not illegally. With technology being downloaded for free we know that it is a wonderful thing but people take matters into their own hands and begin to steal downloaded material illegally. Piracy is risky and wrong. It is downloading from (P2P) peer to peer sites unwillingly not knowing what effect the software will do to your PC or notebook/laptop. These illegal downloads cause your computer to be at high risk. You get viruses that will wipe out your PC all together so you will have to repair it. Warranties that programs have you wont get and certain updates to help the software run faster and smoother wont be available to you. Studies have been researched about this problem. Studying people that not only make up these sites or download illegal material studies prove to show these are criminals and gang affiliated people who are making online unsafe. These types of people want to cover up their drug trade by making a fake store online selling pirated programs. These is hurting our economy because in other countries this type of counterfeiting is considered a victimless crime.Other countries are losing money to piracy and losing it fast. The UK has 27% of software being used that is pirated. People do not release that they are sharing illegal software because they want to better themselves and have less worry about buying a software or program they want for numerous amounts of money. If they want it they will find a way to get what they want for free. This operation is not disappearing it's getting worse which means people that want to download illegal material onto their PC are contributing to illegal drug trades across the world. What people don't know is how intense and illegal this problem is. Their is a online guide to help people be more aware of the internet, what to look out for, and help navigate through the internet. When you buy from these websites the people on the receiving end take your money and run to simply download more illegal software and contribute back into the black market. This is a crime that is hurting the online industry. It is taking fun away from kids to the point where there are parental controls posted securing them to only certain websites, it is blinding people that are new to the internet and conning them to buy illegally not knowingly, college students that need certain softwares and want them for cheap get captured like the rest of the people. A guide to online buying is a helpful and smart way to help you navigate your way around the illegal sites. It shows you more opportunities that show you shortcuts you never knew existed. How does something so simple turn into a gang affiliated dark under world? Simple, in this dark world people need to be more aware that once you start navigating through the internet you happen to find yourself lost in pages of pages of material. This makes you more vulnerable then ever because wether you lost your place and your mind wondered off topic this makes you fall across websites that you haven't seen before so that puts you at high risk. People that get lost in pages and search the internet a lot usually are set out to buy a product and want to know the best cheapest alternative website that provides them to what they are looking for. That makes you their target and buy the time you are done making your purchase you haven't realized that you have already been lured into their steal. Piracy is illegal and unsafe. People should be more cautious of how they navigate their way through the web. People like myself fall victim to having a wondering eye but we all have to be careful for what we wish for a figurative speech that we shouldn't take so lightly anymore. Help you help yourself be more aware to what your doing and how your contributing to your economy.

Blog #1 The battle Just Begun
Is this just a passing fad for MySpace? MySpace got created August 2003 by Tom Anderson- President and Chris Dewolfe became MySpace's starting CEO. MySpace known as the "Web 2.0" is a social networking site that is a user-submitted network that includes friends, blogs, music, profiles, groups, bulletins, TV, polls, forums, videos etc. It only took them 10 days from start to finish to actually launch MySpace. The archives in April 2005 showed activity that the site was connecting to users. From October 2005 through July 2007 the MySpace site was at a constant standstill. It was not until August 2007 the site progressed and the launch finally started to take off. Archives showed in the following months the site gradually grew with new users and by September 2008 it was at its peak. They reached their goal and got their 100 millionth user who in fact was from the Netherlands. After one month the record showed a decrease in numbers. June 2009 the numbers are back to where they were in 2007. So is it true that people want to stop using this site? Is it true that people do find MySpace boring? Is it true that MySpace is an immature site and only used for teenagers? People think now that Twitter and Facebook is the new MySpace. People are saying that MySpace is boring and dull and only teenagers use the site to cause drama among their peers. Last month MySpace had 124 million monthly visitors but there was a decline of 2% according to comScore, a marketing research company. In the same month Facebook increased in size and grew 16.6% with scoring 276 million users. What happens in October when MySpace contracts up? Will MySpace vanish and never return like Napster did? Facebook has extended all through Europe and standing strong while MySpace is trying to keep up. That dominance happened in only 12 months. MySpace was purchased for $580m by Rupert Murdoch showing the world that MySpace was dominating the World. Was it all just a big mistake? Did greed become a factor and they risked this all to soon? MySpace is not maturing while new and more advanced technology flies in and takes over. Will they get back on their feet moving in the right direction or will the money run out and it will be to late because greed was in the mix? So that leaves MySpace at a stand still with the economy and it is in our hands to figure out if we what craze we want to last, get better or fad away. Who will win.
